“We often find what we're looking for – I spy joy.”

Michele McKeag Larsen derives great pleasure in spreading joy. Her blog, www.ISpyJoy.com, focuses on seeing and sharing the multitude of joys available to us in every moment. Her great hope is that it will inspire others to constantly be on the look-out for joy, because we often find what we're looking for.

It has been said we teach best what we most need to learn. ISpyJoy.com began as a way to chronicle Michele's own journey toward happiness after suffering from the depression of closing Purple Turtle Press, the business she dreamed of for over a decade before creating it.

Michele founded Purple Turtle Press and its publications, NW Women's Journal and NW Women's Directory, to promote and empower women in business. The groundbreaking local publications grew to a following in 25 U.S. states and caused Michele to be named one of Oregon Business Magazine's 50 Great Leaders in 2005.

Michele lives in Vancouver, Wash., with her husband, two children and two dogs.
